Privacy policy
Last updated 2026-10-10. This policy explains what information 36118.com ("we") collects and how it is used.
Information you give us
When you submit a form (contact, lead, newsletter, contest, job application or support pledge) we receive what you enter, such as your name, email, phone and message. Forms are delivered to our private inbox through FormSubmit, a form-processing service. We use this information only to respond to you, run the activity you signed up for, and keep basic records. We do not sell personal information.
Information our tools handle
The number decoder, lucky-number reader and domain scorecard run entirely in your browser; what you type is not sent to us. The postal code explorer sends the code you enter to the Zippopotam.us API to retrieve place data, and the map loads tiles from OpenStreetMap.
Cookies and advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at aboutads.info. Learn more in how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message, and personalised ads are served only with consent.
We also store small preferences in your browser (theme choice and cookie-notice dismissal). Embedded YouTube videos use the privacy-enhanced youtube-nocookie.com domain and load only when you press play.
Retention and security
We keep form messages only as long as needed for the purpose you sent them, and for up to 24 months for business records unless you ask us to delete them sooner. The site is served over HTTPS.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under GDPR, UK GDPR, CCPA/CPRA or PIPEDA) you may request access to, correction of or deletion of your personal information, or object to its use. Use the contact form and choose "Privacy request".
Children
The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their personal information.
Changes
We will post any changes here with a new date.
